Laundry

Save money, protect your health and the environment, and prolong the life of your clothes. What could this miracle product be??! It's Orvus paste. It takes just a dab to clean anything and it rinses clean with no residue so it's good for people with allergies. Refer to the book From Fiber to Fabric by Harriet Hargrave (c) 1997, C&T Publishing, pp 66-71. Of course, you can find more info on the web too.

Within a month of starting to use this soap, my whites, which had been gray from the minerals in our hard water, were white again. It got even better when we got a front-loading washer, I don't know why that cleans better than the old top-loader.

Use a scant tablespoon of Orvus for a full load. You can add whatever other products you like, such as Oxy-Clean, etc. Towels and clothes are softer so I seldom use fabric softener now, only when I have to deal with static from a lot of synthetics in the wash.

Order the case of 4 online and your cost, including shipping, will be about $20 per gallon (7-1/2 pound jug) versus $30+ if you buy it at a local feed store. One gallon lasts our household of two about a year but it never goes bad, so who cares? Or, you can get together with 3 friends to buy it if you don't have room to store the unopened jugs.

I will never go back to store-bought laundry detergents. Tide be gone!
